George Mason University, located approximately 17 miles from the nation's capital in Fairfax, Virginia, is one of the area's most state-of-the-art campuses with facilities that are safe and comfortable. Interns at George Mason University will reside in fully furnished apartments with 2 to 5 fellow college interns from across the country. On-campus apartments have single and double occupancy bedroom options to meet your preferences and budget. All utilities, WIFI, and on-site laundry are included.  

Mason's extensive shuttle service provides access to the Metro system, local area shopping, and other destinations. On-campus dining is available throughout the summer and includes popular options such as Panera, Chipotle, and Starbucks. 

As an intern residing at George Mason University, here's what you'll get:

Summer 2026 Intern Housing rates:

Non-Mason Student Interns:

• Single-occupancy bedroom option for Non-Mason interns is $455/week ($65.00/day)
• Double-occupancy bedroom option for Non-Mason interns is $364/week ($52.00/day)\
• Non-Mason Interns will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $300 at the time of booking that will apply towards their final balance in order to hold their reservation.

Mason Enrolled Student Interns:

• Single-occupancy bedroom option for Mason Interns is $441/week ($63.00/day)
• Double-occupancy bedroom option for Mason Interns is  $350/week ($50.00/day)
