North Avenue East Apartments

Apartments consist primarily of four-bedroom and six-bedroom apartments. All residents of an apartment share a living room and kitchen, and two residents share one bathroom.

The private bedrooms are furnished with a twin bed (extra-long mattress), desk, desk chair, wardrobe, and dresser. Kitchens include a dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, and refrigerator. Living/dining spaces have a sofa, chairs, side tables, and a dining table with chairs.

This description applies to nearly all rooms in the building. Some rooms may have a slightly different configuration due to design differences and renovations. All rooms will have the same complement of furniture. However, pictures are of actual student rooms and may contain additional furniture and decoration provided by the resident.

The Georgia Tech campus sits in the heart of Midtown Atlanta and just north of Downtown. Our city encompasses many neighborhoods, including the Airport area, Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead and Perimeter, as well as attractions in surrounding areas - Cobb County, Gwinnett County and Dekalb County.

Downtown includes sports venues like Philips Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Georgia World Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park, World of Coca Cola, Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, Freedom Park, The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, Center for Civil & Human Rights and College Football Hall of Fame.

Midtown ranges from Tech Square & Piedmont Park to the Westside Cultural Arts Center and Atlantic Station. Visit The High Museum, the Margaret Mitchell House or stroll along The Beltline or Peachtree Street to dine or shop.

Venture farther north to Buckhead and Perimeter for more restaurant choices, shopping and entertainment venues. MARTA access is available along this corridor. Venture away from MARTA and the 85-75 Connector and Georgia 400, and you will find Gwinnett Arena in Gwinnett County, Six Flags over Georgia, White Water Park, Truist Park and The Battery in Cobb County, and Stone Mountain State Park in Dekalb County.

FAQs

When is the application due?

Registration remains open while rooms are available. Registration submissions are required three weeks before your desired check-in date. Exceptions can be requested by emailing internlodging@housing.gatech.edu.

Can I apply after the application deadline?

Yes, applications received after the deadline will be placed on a waitlist and processed as availability allows.

When is the earliest check-in date?

Sunday, May 23, 2027

When is the latest check-out day?

Tuesday, August 3, 2027 (time TBD)

Is there a pre-payment?

Yes, a non-refundable pre-payment equal to seven nights, plus tax and a $50 application fee. This is required upon acceptance of the online contract and secures your room.

When is rent due?

Full rent is due three days prior to check-in. The balance and due date will be stated in an email.

Can rent be broken down into installments?

No, per state policy, rent cannot be broken up into installments.

If I cancel my contract, am I entitled to a refund?

With the exception of pre-payment and application fees, refunds will only be processed when Georgia Tech Conference Services is notified in writing of cancelation (email to internhousing@housing.gatech.edu). All requests for refunds must be made at least 24 hours in advance of check-in.

I’m a company planning to sponsor several interns. Can I reserve rooms for my interns?

Yes. If you are a company sponsoring numerous interns, information for all interns needs to be submitted via the online application. One license agreement will be generated to include all interns sponsored by the company.

What are the age requirements for participating in the Intern Lodging program?

Interns must be 18 years of age upon applying for the program.

If requested, what are acceptable forms to prove my age?

Copies of your driver’s license, birth certificate, or passport are all acceptable ways to prove your age.

What is an acceptable proof of internship?

A signed letter from your company’s Human Resources Department or your direct supervisor.

What if I haven’t secured my internship yet?

You will need to have a confirmed internship before a license agreement with Georgia Tech will be official.

How much does the program cost?

The 2026 rate is $50.93 per person per night and does not include tax. There is also a $50 application fee. 2027 rates are coming soon.

Where do I check-in?
This information will be received via email based on your lodging assignment.

What are the hours for check-in and check-out?

Staff is available for check-in from 8am-8pm, Monday-Sunday. You may check-in any time between 8am-8pm on your scheduled arrival date.

What should I do if I have to arrive after hours?

First, make every effort to call the Conference Services’ main number (404-894-2469) to let someone know your plans. Next, upon arriving after hours, call the emergency duty phone and a staff member will check you in.

Where do I check out?

You will check out at the Conference Services office located closest to your residence hall. Specific instructions will be provided in your welcome packet.

Do I have to have a roommate?

Bedrooms are single occupancy and all “roommates” are sharing an apartment, NOT a bedroom. The Office of Conference Services will make official room assignments. You may, or may not have an apartment-mate depending on availability of space within the apartment building.

Can I live with people I’m interning with?

Yes. Both you AND your roommate MUST request each other on your applications. Only roommate requests of the same gender will be honored.

Will I find out my roommate information?

Yes, after the registration deadline and prior to your arrival, you will be emailed the names and email addresses for your roommates. At that point, you can reach out and touch base prior to check-in.

What will my apartment look like?

Each single-occupancy bedroom is fully furnished with a bed (extra-long mattress), desk, desk chair, spacious wardrobe and dresser. All apartments are fully air-conditioned with a large living-room space, semi-private bath and kitchen, complete with full-size refrigerator, microwave, and stove.

What should I bring with me? What can’t I have?

Will I have a private bathroom?

Bathrooms are semi-private. There is a ratio of 1 bathroom to every 2 people.

Will housekeeping clean my room and provide toilet paper?

No. You must provide your own toilet paper, and are responsible for the cleanliness of your apartment, bathroom, and bedroom. Trash receptacles are located near the residence halls for your convenience.

Are there laundry facilities in the building?

There are laundry facilities located in (or nearby) your building. Your BuzzCard will provide you access.

How do I use the laundry facilities?

Laundry is free for Intern Lodging Program guests.

Are your facilities handicap accessible?

Yes. There is a section on the application where you can make us aware of any special needs.

Are there phone jacks in the apartments?

No, we recommend bringing a cellphone, or purchasing a prepaid phone once you arrive if you are coming from outside of the United States.

Are Internet connections available in the apartments?

Yes. There are data ports you can use to plug in and wireless Internet is included in your rent. You will need to bring your own CAT-5 Ethernet cord for wired service.
