720 South Main Street (Bampton House) located on Hobart and William Smith campus with beautiful views of Seneca Lake; this spacious three-story residence serves as a comfortable and community-focused housing hub for interns.
All bedrooms are offered as single occupancy, providing each resident with their own private space while still encouraging connection and shared living.
The lower level includes two single bedrooms. The first-floor features four bedrooms, including an accessible accommodation room with bathroom access. The second floor offers six additional bedrooms, along with a shared bathroom and a full kitchen that serves as a central gathering space for meals, studying, and socializing.
With generous common areas, lake views, and convenient access to campus facilities, the home balances privacy, comfort, and community — creating an ideal environment for interns to live, work, and connect throughout their stay.
Our house is located in the heart of wine country, surrounded by scenic views wine trails and vineyards in every direction-perfect for weekend exploring and enjoying the local scene.
Beach days, walks at the lake, Saturday morning trips to the lake front farmers market, quick eats, fun nights downtown, live music on the weekends, and grocery runs that don't feel like a trek-all just minutes away. Perfect for working hard, relaxing harder, and actually enjoying your internship.

FAQs
Can I visit the campus before making my decision? Yes of course! If you prefer, there is a virtual tour on our website.
Do I have to pay in advance? Generally yes. Please contact us if you have a hardship that requires payments.
How can I make my payment? Credit card is best, but if you prefer to send a check, that is fine too. Just reach out.
Can I get mail sent to me during my stay? Yes! The address you should use is 300 Pulteney Street, Geneva NY 14456. We will provide the post office on campus with your name, phone, and email address. When they receive mail or packages for you, they will contact you to come pick up.
What are the hours and location for the Post Office? M-F, 9a-12p and 1 - 4p. The Post Office is located in the Scandling Center on Pulteney Street.
Can I use the fitness center? Yes - there is a fitness center and a track at the Bristol Field House. Your name will be added to a roster at the front desk and you can utilize it at no cost whenever they are open.
What are the hours and location for the Field House? M-Th: 7a-7p, F: 7a-4p, Sat: 8a-12p. The Field House is located at 283 Hamilton Street.
Are there dining options on campus? Yes! You are welcome to join us whenever Saga, our dining hall in the Scandling Center, is open. Cash or check is permitted at the door. Dining hours are TBD, but will be shared with you prior to your stay.
Is the library open for my use? Yes, summer hours for the library are TBD, but you are welcome to utilize it whenever it's open. Note you may not borrow any books from the library. The Warren hunting Smith Library is located on Pulteney Street, next to the Scandling Center.
Will there be housekeeping in my dorm over the summer? Yes. Housekeeping comes every M/W/F morning, and will take the trash from common areas as well as clean the bathrooms. Note that bathrooms that can only be accessed through a bedroom will not be cleaned.
Can I have my car on campus? Do I need a parking pass? Yes you may park on the street or in the parking lot behind the house. Parking is free and there is no permit required.
Is there air conditioning in my room? No, we do not provide air conditioning, but you are welcome to bring a window unit for our Facilities team to install. Please note that Facilities requires up to 48 business hours to complete these requests.
What do I do if my unit needs maintenance? Please call the Conferences and Events department at 315-781-3103 for maintenance requests and we will put in a work order for you. Urgent after- hours requests can be directed to Campus Safety at 315-781-3656.
How are emergencies handled on campus? Campus Safety will have your name and contact information in case they need to reach you. They are on duty -24/7 and are located at 311 Pulteney Street, or by phone at 315-781-3333 (emergency line only). Routine Campus Safety calls can be directed to 315-781-3656
