A Campus Surrounded by Green Space

Directly across the street from campus is Audubon Park, a 350-acre green space known for its walking paths, lagoons, and iconic oak trees.

It’s a favorite spot for Loyola students and interns alike—perfect for morning runs, afternoon study breaks, or simply unwinding after a long day. Living this close to one of the city’s most scenic parks gives you a daily balance of energy and relaxation that’s hard to match.

Easy Access to the Entire City

Just outside campus, you’ll find the historic St. Charles Streetcar, one of the oldest continuously operating streetcar lines in the world.

This line runs directly past Loyola and connects you to:

  • The Garden District’s historic homes
  • The Central Business District (major internship hub)
  • Downtown New Orleans and the edge of the French Quarter

It’s not just transportation—it’s part of the New Orleans experience, offering a scenic and reliable way to navigate the city.

Food, Coffee, and Local Favorites

Uptown New Orleans is known for its incredible food scene, and Loyola is right in the middle of it. Within walking distance or a short ride, you’ll find everything from casual bites to iconic dining experiences:

  • Commander's Palace – One of the city’s most iconic dining destinations

From quick meals between shifts to memorable dinners with friends, you’ll never run out of options.

A Walkable, Lively Community
