UMBC is located on the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. corridor, providing easy access to both of these major metropolitan centers and is only a ten-minute drive or shuttle from BWI Thurgood Marshall International Airport!
UMBC Event & Conference Services provides a wide variety of spaces, resources, and services to accommodate youth and adult groups, athletic summer camps, educational groups, and corporate/organizational events. We offer suite-style, residence hall or apartment overnight accommodations with individually controlled heat and air-conditioning, high-speed internet, and access to free laundry. In addition, UMBC offers a traditional dining hall with numerous food concepts and the ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and cultural dining needs. Thank you for your interest in choosing UMBC as your summertime accommodation.
Due to our Spring and Fall semester requirements, we can only accept requests with a minimum 4 week stay between May 31st, 2026 and August 7th, 2026. Requests for an earlier or later stay cannot be considered at this time. Thank you for your understanding!
UMBC is able to offer summer intern housing at one of our apartments: Hillside, Terrace, or West Hill
- Enjoy 360 tours of Hillside and Terrace and West Hill.
All of our facilities have:
- Carpeting
- Cable & Internet
- Individually controlled heating and air conditioning
- Semi-private bathrooms shared by no more than 4 people
- Wireless access (individual rooms in residence halls and in common rooms for apartments)
Rooms are furnished with one bed, wardrobe or closet, desk, and chair for each person assigned to the room.

UMBC is conveniently located 15 minutes to Baltimore City's Inner Harbor where you can find the Baltimore's National Aquarium, nightlife, and the Baltimore Convention Center. Only a few minutes away you can reach Baltimore City towns, Federal Hill, Fells Point, and Canton. There is plenty of dining options close by in the Arbutus/ Catonsville area as well as grocery shopping, hospitals, banks, and gas stations.

I wanted to take a moment at this holiday time of year and express our organizations sincere appreciation for the use of your beautiful facilities and your organizations support for the past 4 years! The location provides a serene setting that is close to everything, very clean and safe – it makes it easy to attract volunteers and participant’s alike!
