Arthur Edwards shared his 2025 summer internship experience in Chicago, IL
Using InternHousingHub.com made relocating to Chicago for my summer 2025 health internship incredibly smooth. From June through September, I lived in university housing that was centrally located and well connected to public transportation in the Chicago area, which made commuting and exploring the city easy. Spending the summer in Chicago was an amazing experience! Outside of work, I fully enjoyed the city, exploring different neighborhoods, spending time along the lakefront, attending summer festivals, and experiencing Chicago’s food and cultural scene. Living in university housing also helped me connect with other interns and students, which made the city feel welcoming right away.
One of the highlights of my summer in Chicago was getting to experience iconic events like the Ravinia Festival and the Chicago Air and Water Show. Attending a concert at Ravinia was a memorable way to unwind after work and experience Chicago’s vibrant arts scene, while the Air and Water Show was an unforgettable summer tradition. Watching the performances along Lake Michigan with friends was an incredible way to feel connected to the city. Being able to attend events like these made my internship experience feel well-rounded and truly special, and it’s something I’ll always associate with my summer in Chicago.
My internship provided valuable professional experience, but having reliable housing through the Intern Housing Hub allowed me to focus on learning, growing, and making the most of my time in Chicago.
